She had a cooking accident.
There are dolls in the film, but it has nothing to do with Annabelle, but it does have a bell in it in case you wish to make a connection. Anne (Gail Yost) who looks like a man in a dress, lives alone with dolls. She is not all there. We watch her watch TV and eat from a discontinued Pfaltzgraff bowl to a horrific sound track that sounded like a ukulele with a broken string. It was boring to watch and feel free to fast forward for about an hour into the film. The production was low budget. It was written, produced, directed and starred Joseph Mazzaferro who was more concerned about Mazz appeal than mass appeal. So bad it is worth a punch on the hacker's card if you can make it all the way through. It does have twist (?) that was as idiotic as the film. Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

Watched this film last night ,its 1 hour 20 minutes of my life i can never get back , my father was watching with me is still in shock ,think he might never watch another film that i suggest to him ...starts off slow then gets even slower if that is possible made an hour and half seem like a month of Sundays ...avoid at ALL COSTS !!

I'm disabled, so I spend most of my time, at home, alone. I'm honestly not complaining, because I fill up my days watching movies, & I watch a lot of movies, sometimes four in a day. And because I do watch so many movies, I find it necessary to rate every movie I watch, whether they're good, bad, &/or somewhere in between. Rating them all on IMDb helps me keep track of all the titles I've already seen. Now with that being said, I did earn a college degree, & with a 3.5 GPA, so I know my brain must work at least part of the time, & yet, for the life of me, I could not see the point of this movie? I do understand Anne suffered a tremendous trauma & which caused her to stop talking after seeing her husband commit suicide, but I don't know, did I zone out & miss a key piece of information, because there's nothing explaining why she fixates on the dolls so? There's also no history or reason for Anne's hallucinations, her self harming, or any of the other odd behaviors she exhibits throughout the movie. Anne's actions/reactions didn't seem real, because they weren't typical for the type of trauma she suffered, nor were they usual for depression, etc., so this movie made no sense to me. Now combine the aforementioned with poor acting, poor directing, & poor sound, etc., I just can't be more generous, & I can only give this movie two stars. Sorry people involved in the making of Anne.

I'm serious. There is 0 even remotely interesting moments. Dreadful. I cannot give enough reasons to not waste your time with this.
