Mihriban is a woman who lost her father and brother on sea. When she became mother, she wanted her son to be named as ÇINAR (plane tree). She never let her son become a sailor as she had no wish her son sharing the fate with his father and brother.. However, there was nothing she could do to prevent her son becoming a sailor. She seems very conflicted about this situation. Mihriban's son ÇINAR died in a sea accident on his birthday. She thinks she can only cope with the severe pain she has been feeling for 10 years as long as she keeps him alive in her daydream. She wakes up every day as if it is her son's birthday. She tries hard to come to terms with her son's death. Obviously she can't handle that. Every day in the vicious circle of depression, she falls asleep to wake up again on the same day.
