To most, she was simply 'Whitney's and Bobby's daughter,' the little girl behind the scenes with no identity beyond the image attached to her by the media and the public. But the untold story of Bobbi Kristina Brown is one of adventure, dreams, conflict, perseverance, faith, friendship, and love - a love between mother and daughter. Bobbi Kristina (2017) Reviews
Surprisingly strong performances
I didn't go into to this film expecting a whole lot. Other than Vivica Fox I didn't know most of the players in this project. With that being said, I was pleasantly surprised at the performances especially from new comer Joy Rovaris. Joy Rovaries totally embodies and practically channels Bobby Kristina. Her performance is brilliant!, she not only emulates Bobbi Kristina's mannerisms, but she also captures her nativity and all of her riddled insecurities from being the daughter of an Icon. Another strong performance was rendered by handsome Nadji Jeter, who played opportunist Nick Gordon with precise snake like qualities. The performances between Joy and Nadji, make you forget that you are watching actors, you really feel like your simply watching Bobbi and Nick life unfold before your eyes. Other notable mentions are Vivica A. Fox as Aunt Pat (and who actually resembles her), as well as a solid performance by Demetria Mckinney, who also does a good job mimicking the voice of the incomparable Whitney Houston. Overall a decent script and directing, just thought the ending could have been better, however definitely worth seeing!. by Tim Harris
