Chihôshi wo kau Onna: Sakka Sugimoto Ryûji no Suiri (2016) Reviews
tv predictable movie
This movie reminds me to the A Christie´s series from couple of decades ago; the same type of structure, music, related stuff; even the silly and cute secretary is there... The camera work is evident; the panning expected. Light is good but TV quality no 35mm of course. And the finish...so Japanese. I put 4 stars due to the production costs; nice exteriors, houses decoration and a bit of acting, but better to avoid it
TV movie
Don't ask me of all DVDs how this fell on my lap (a buddy had ordered it from Asia etc etcetra bla) and so we watched it It is a fairly linear crime movie with not so bad an acting, but the coincidences pile up. It is interesting because the novelist has a super cute assistant (I would have done her fast) but I guess he is too old to get it on. Also she is trying to be unattractive by having short hair and stuff. They meet a woman on the other side of the country (this one is a hostess so to attract men has long hair, which she later cuts when she quits her job) who is being squeezed for cash and her body (nice thin girl too). It is almost like amateur sleuth hour with a couple of thin pretty women who get short hair for the movie to not be so attractive. The twist here is there is a Japanese politician involved.
