Ima boku wa (2008) Reviews
depressingly real
slow paced & not much happens (lots of silent moments), which adds to the realism. the acting is so great that it feels like you're watching a documentary. while watching this movie and observing the main character, undoubtedly someone you've once known will make their way back into your mind. we all know/knew someone like the main character, even if that person is ourselves. even the clothes the character wears greatly resembles the NEETs here in America. this film may not help you understand the socially withdrawn but it'll show you a true to life depiction of one.
I miss something
I think the movie would be better if had some explination about the character, Saturo.I even liked it this lack of explanation, butt i would like more if have some emphasis on this lack, somethin like that: "Oh, my mom is dead, how should i feel?Is that my fault? What i do? Now, i...", "Job? What i do in this place?" and et cetera. The camera sometimes it was very close of the characters, or or only showed one character per set, would be better in the death of the mother if showed satoru and her. For the rest, he acted just like a NEET, the mother like a single mother, very cool.
