Avinash Ghatpande, who works as a senior accountant, is married to Asavari, and has two children, elder daughter Rajat and younger son Chintan. On his 50th birthday, Rajat announces that she is getting married to one Utpal Ramani, son of a rich businessman. A furious Avinash, expresses his denial at this alliance. Despite visits from Utpal's parents, Avinash is adamant. One day he gets a visit from his boss, Ajay Gadkari, who seeks his help to get his daughter married. He tells Avinash that he is interested in Utpal, as he is the most suitable candidate to run the company . Avinash now tries to find a way to wriggle out of the tight spot that he is in.
