  The other reviewer summed this up perfectly - a surreal nonlinear metaphysical thriller! Limbus is brilliantly filmed and photographed, and its accompanying original music score throughout is so deepening and serves as a type of non-conversant dialogue. This film is not for everyone, certainly, and is at times esoteric and abstruse. There are alternating stories occurring that are terrestrial ("real life" on earth) and celestial (purgatory or limbo), effectively tracing how several characters' lives change from the ordinary to the rarefied. At times alluring and poignant, and other times horrific and barbaric, and at all times requiring careful attention to dialogue, the characters, and mise-en-scene, I believe Limbus is a highly thoughtful and unique film experience that will long remain with those who engage with it.

• Brilliant Surreal Non-Linear Metaphysical Thriller

  This movie is a non linear, surreal thriller/mystery. "After a mass suicide, four cult members become stuck in purgatory and have to search for secrets beyond their existence." It flashbacks to show what brought each of them to the "cult" in the first place, and then shows them in "purgatory" It uses a lot of it's time using images and score to convey it's information. It doesn't doubt the intelligence of the audience. This movie had no reviews, like ANYWHERE, that I could find, so I wanted to just add a little info here, to encourage people who enjoy this type of film making to watch it. It is brilliantly done. The actors were top notch and I was intrigued by the premise. The brilliant part comes with the direction, and the use of the camera with very powerful and unusual images. It isn't for everyone. It is a slow pace, metaphysical, symbolic, film, that doesn't spell everything out. If you like this type of movie, don't miss this one. I really enjoyed it.
