Manasaare is about Mahendra (Diganth), who is jilted by his lover in favor of a rich software engineer. This and the fact that he is always looked down by his family leaves him depressed and frustrated. One day he is mistakenly captured by the security staff of a rehabilitation centre for the mentally challenged. The doctors create fresh records to prove that Mahendra is suffering from a mental disorder. In the hospital Mahendra meets a patient, Devaki and falls for her. He finds a way of escape with Devaki and gets to know her. Love blossoms and Devaki narrates her tragic flashback to Mahendra.
