Not very good...
...but not terrible either to deserve so many one-star votes. I guess this is an enthusiast's take on spaghetti westerns. It would work better if it weren't for chaotic camera work and insistence on stereotypes. Acting felt inadequate, partly because of inexperience, partly because of use of English. Directing was spirited, but amateurish, editing didn't help, and the only thing that somewhat stands out is the music score. I would recommend it only for fans of the genre. 4/0.
Indie revenge trash
Made by Germans and shot in Spain, ONE BY ONE is a cheap indie revenge flick that borrows the look of the female lead from THEY CALL HER ONE EYE. It's generally a dud of a film, managing to be cheap, nasty-looking, and cliched in equal measure. The enhanced colour palette gives it a fake look throughout while the acting is uniformly bad and the plotting predictable. There are one or two violent moments done in such a silly way that they're laughable more than anything.
