Directed like an MTV beer commercial
Tits and Ass shots abound while seemingly addressing "serious" dual career couple issues. Plays like a bad TV sitcom. Only one scene in the whole film was real, the one where you enter back into your real life and problems after a vacation. Otherwise, seriously insulting and stupid. Worse than a romance novel.
Descends into camp...
I just saw this at a local International Film Festival, and while I can't say that it was a horrible movie, I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I did think that the general premise was interesting, two women who are dissatisfied with their lives and the behavior of their husbands (lack of attention to the children, cleaning up around the house, etc.), the manner in which it was presented seems trite. And at times it descended into what my sister and I termed "every man's fantasy-land." Which was certainly annoying and didn't make me like it any more. So, if you're in the mood to see a foreign film that shows a little skin and you don't care so much about the plot, then go right ahead.
A Finnish-Swedish view on Rizoto...
One of the absolutely greatest films I've seen! Funny, warm and sexy but also with a very thoughtful view on how it is to be a woman today. Talented actors and beautifully filmed! I wished I lived in Greece too! ...IF the men had a more Swedish mentality about gender equality!
