To Find My Son (1980) Reviews
Just right for the fathers of the family.
You just might like this movie if your an emotional father. Plus if your tired of watching movies where the father is always the bad guy, this should be just the movie for you. This movie is just your average midday movie. Its one of a few hard to find movies where the guy wins the day. Another movie I recommend you watch is 'The Bachelors Baby'(1996). Also another win for the father.
Great movie
This movie expresses the love that one person can have for a child that is not biologically there's. The movie was great and touched me with a passion. You fall in love with tommy as soon as you see him in the movie. The tenacity of tommy's father is great, and it has taught me a life lesson to keep plugging away if you believe in something. It has been awhile since a movie has touched my heart with such passion. This movie shows how love can be tapped from all angles. Tommy is the type of kid everyone wants, he is caring, loving, and happy to have someone that loves him. In this day and age, people become bombarded by what the public believes. This movie showed fight from the beginning to the end with tommy and his father against a government agency that did not want things to work out for them. This movies shows the power of adoption, and how adoption takes a kid with possibly no future and love, to happiness and growth. Highly recommended to anyone with a caring heart!

What an amazing movie
This movie is based on the true story of a single man wanting to adopt a boy who has various disabilities. Richard Thomas does a great job of playing a sincere man who is a volunteer and grows to love a boy whom nobody wants to adopt and fights the evil bureaucrats to finally gets his wish and becomes his father. He has to deal with a girlfriend who is not happy about the fact that he spends more time with the boy then with her. Also, he has parents that are not very supportive about his decision to adopt as a single man. I'm sick of men always played in Hollywood as a bunch of S.O.B's...this movie should make not only single fathers feel good, but any body who has a good heart in helping people! I give this movie a perfect 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
fantastic movie
I am extremely surprised that this movie has never made on to DVD. I would love to have a copy of this movie. It's incredible, and haven't seen it for a very long time, and wish I could see it again. Its a shame that this great movie has just been forgotten. Also that so much money has been spent on movies that makes no sense, while this stays hidden. This is one of my all time favorites, its about a man that wants to share his life with a child, give this child love, a home, and a family. Because he is single there is woman who stands in his way to adopt. He stands up and takes the responsibility to fight for what is right. Its an incredible movie showing that men can be strong as a single parent, and to give credit where credit is due. Mothers has always been known as wonderful parents, but the secret is out in this film and that is SO can fathers.
