• Vukovar deserves better

  Although Croatian movies are better and better in past few years, 'Zapamtite Vukovar' seems to be one more in a row of bad and cheese Vukovar-theme movies (like 'Vukovar se vraća kući', and some others from the 90's for example) . Of course, production and photography can't be compared with the trash from the 90's, but still the main problem in Croatian cinema is bad acting most of the actors (employer of 'Radio Vukovar' has Zagrebian accent?!). Exception is Izudin Bajrović, great Bosnian actor who played role of Yugoslav Army's major fairly good considering the quality of the script (which is extremely bad, to my opinion). Bad acting, cliché's, bad movie music, stereotype… it would take forever to count all the bad stuff, and it would also take forever for me to remember a single good thing. One thing i liked – director used ambulance cars from the '91 for the in front of the hospital scene – detail that most Croatian movie makers wouldn't even bother to notice. All in all – sadly, another bad movie for Vukovar.
